Who didn't see this one coming?

IGN + Gamespy = "the web's largest gaming and entertainment destination for young males"?

Hmmm. Gaming? OK, fine. Entertainment?
I, for one, can think of many destinations that young males frequent more than IGN or Gamespy. Cassamassina would agree.

What r u playing?

Oh Ion Storm, how do I love thee? Your new RPG, Deus Ex: Invisible War, comes out tomorrow, so right now, I love you long time.

Considering there's really only one other RPG on Xbox that's worth my time, and Steve Butts at IGN is already stamped it with a near-unicorn-level score in his review, consider me busy all December.

What r u playing?

Me? I'm all about Uru: Ages Beyond Myst, that and Beyond Good and Evil.

I'm not that far into it (created a character, the color choices are pretty weak. Can you say pale and paler?) and I'm still getting used to the non-Riven 3rd-person camera. I'm also getting used to no Atrus. I guess Yeesha is a pretty sweet guide.

We'll see.

Flying the Crimson Skies

Sure, Orville Wright figured out how to get a real plane off the ground, but that's nothing compared to what he did for Xbox LIVE. Well, him and Jordan Weisman.

If you own an Xbox and haven't tried Crimson Skies, well, there's just not much hope for you. Repent and hit me up, my GT is Getlynched, come get some.

KOTOR arriveth

Thank god for summer game releases. It seems like every game I want to play arrives on my desk the day before Thanksgiving, leaving me a pile of games I can't weed through after a multi-month drought of fun.

Thank you, BioWare. I'm ready to forgive you for MDK 2.
Now, I have a lightsaber to modify.

Frozen Throne, anyone?

OK, I'm officially addicted to Warcraft III, without hope.

Who's down for a trouncing? (Translation: who wants to come embarass me?)

E3 03: Poor GameCube, or, Ninty Press Conference

Jibberdish was on hand for today's Ninty presser and waddaya know, the Mario factory fails to inspire, again. Sorry George.

You can hype the GameCube’s long overdue connectivity features all you want, but hello, Super Mario Sunshine? Blech! And no bags like last year? And where the eff is Zelda? Not Four Swords Zelda, the next real Zelda game?

At least Iwata-san kept it real. He knows systems aren't moving, neither is first-party software (what there is of it). Still your flashy videos of Pikmin 2, combined with news of Star Wars Rogue Squadron III: Rebel Strike, developed by Factor 5 and published by LucasArts, and Capcom’s talk of Resident Evil 4 have me all giddy again, especially after this morning’s suprising Sony presser.

Oh, and Shinji Makami said, “Don't pee your pants.”
